“Apple Music support on Amazon Echo speakers is starting to roll out in the United States through the Alexa app on iOS and Android a few days ahead of schedule,” Zac Hall reports for 9to5Mac. “You can now connect your Apple Music account with Echo speakers through the Alexa app and use Apple’s music streaming service with Alexa voice control,” Hall reports. “Once you connect your Apple Music account to Alexa, you can set the music service as your default music library source and default music station source.

This lets you request music from Apple Music without telling Alexa which service to use each time.”.

Hi, as you might not be aware, but threads are appearing with crackling speakers with the new macbook pros. I have personally experienced this today and I had to return it for a new one. The crackling noise is noticeable after a few mintues whlist listening to audio files or youtube type of websites. I played overwatch via bootcamp and after 1 session the music of this game was not clean only it was crackling type of electric sound. I figured it could be one faulty unit but I see that it is somewhat common problem with the new Macbook. Update I got my my MacBook Pro 2018 15 inch replaced, and I installed bootcamp - same thing happened.

I guess its the drivers. I should maybe say firmware instead of driver. It’s not a constant crackling at high volumes or certain frequencies - I have that problem on my 2013 MBP and the speakers are definitely done for on that one. On my 2018, it’s a big distorted crackle that will happen briefly sometimes while audio is playing. I suspect it’s the way the system is handling audio.

Someone on macrumors found something about audio delay increasing for a short period, causing sound to delay and leading to the weird sound. When it’s not happening, the speakers sound great.
